Lowered GR86, what tire sizes are safe?

I helped my brother install Eibach springs on his 2023 Toyota GR86. He's still on stock 18s but wants to go wider. We're trying to figure out what tire size works without rubbing or needing spacers. He's looking at 18x8.5 +35 with 235/40 or maybe 245/35. Anyone running those sizes with Eibach springs and no issues on full lock or dips?

Yeah i think going with 235/40 sounds like the safer bet if you want to avoid rubbing issues . Running 245/35 on 18x8.5 +35 with Eibach springs can work, but it really depends on your camber, alignment and how aggressive your suspension setup is

The agreement is that 235/40 is the straightforward, no-fuss option, while 245/35 requires more attention to detail. After discussing the input with my brother, he has decided to go with the 235/40 tires to be safe. Since this is his daily driver, he doesn't want to deal with potential rubbing issues.
