Anyone running e85?

With everything I've ever done to my cars, I've never went e85, so I was wondering if anyone has done it to this engine? I'm looking at specs, potential mods, stuff like that. Most importantly, does it make a difference?

Dumping e85 in your gas tank with no mods, so a stock car is asking for trubble. Things like knock and misfires will be a common sight and running for too long with this means you'll need a new engine. This is why god inveted modding and you'll need some of that.

For starters you'll need to make some upgrades to the fueling system, like a fuel pump and injectors. Not sure how much the stock injectors can take, but I doubt it's gonna be enough. You'll also need to tell the ecu that you're not running the regular stuff so it knows how much fuel to add. In this situation if you're leaving your 86 na, you're looking at 15-20 hp tops. Slapping a turbo or a supercharger will get you more, but it costs more and is a lot more work

However, switching to E85 isn't just a simple swap—you'll need to upgrade to bigger fuel injectors, a compatible fuel pump, and a solid tune to handle the extra fuel and the corrosive nature of ethanol.

If you're ready to make those upgrades, you can look forward to some solid improvements. If not, it might not be worth the hassle. What kind of build are you working on?

Exactly, E85 is only worth it if you've got the proper injectors, pump, and a good tune. If not, it just adds extra trouble without any significant advantages.
