I got myself a preloved Toyota GR86 2022, and want to reduce some of the engine noise. I heard we can alter it using the Helmholtz chamber. Can someone tell me how to do this? Any insights are welcome

The Helmholtz chamber can be tuned to cancel specific frequencies by adjusting its size and shape to match the resonance of the unwanted noise. Have you pinpointed the frequency range you're aiming to reduce?

if you want a quieter Toyota, get the bz4x, it's electric ;)

Congrats on getting the GR86! A Helmholtz resonator helps reduce certain engine noises by using a specially designed chamber. You can either buy one with an aftermarket exhaust or have a custom setup made at a shop. Just make sure it's placed and tuned right for your car. If you need any recommendations, just ask!

Absolutely. Getting the placement and tuning just right with a Helmholtz setup can really make all the difference. When it's done properly, it not only smooths out the sound but also totally enhances the driving experience.
