Wheel and tire upgrade

It's an 86 so I plan to drive it like it was meant o be driven and for that I plan to start making some upgrades. The first one will be the tires and wheels. It's currently stock and the wheels are a bit tucked under the fenders and I want them to be flush, so which offset should I go for?

For that flush look without poking too much, you'll probably be looking at an offset in the +35 to +40 range with wider wheels. good luck, man!

If you want a nice flush fit, try 18x8.5 with a +35 offset or 18x9 with a +40. This should pull the wheels out toward the fenders without causing any rubbing. For tires, a 225/40R18 goes well with the 18x8.5, or you could use a 235/40R18 for the 18x9. This setup will give your 86 a great look

@RCracer89 , if you're going for flush fitment without rubbing, something like 18x8.5 or 18x9 with a +35 to +38 offset usually sits nicely on the GR86. It fills out the fenders better than stock without needing too much camber adjustment.

The ideal offset for a flush fit on your GR86 is between +30 and +35; spacers are not required. While an 18x9 offers you more tire options and a stiffer feel, a 17x9 is lighter and rides a little smoother. For a clean, no-rub fitment that still performs admirably on track, most guys continue to use a +35.
